Report on a FB forum that the property has suddenly deflagged as of 31 Jan, with a guest provided with an email yesterday
Hilton website still saying 1 April, and taking bookings until end March.
Followed up with the person, but they had chosen to change plans, so no on the ground update.

I have it on good authority (many times returning long-term guest who is there now and knows all the staff) that the brand will be Pullman, part of Accor. There is a transition manager from Accor at the property right now.
Already very many (21 I think) Accor hotels on Phuket. The Arcadia is not yet on their booking site.

You'd think a renaming might be in order then. Two Pullman Phuket Arcadia would be pretty confusing, particularly given the distance between Karon and Naithon beaches.

No Pullman at Naiharn.
This article seems to be cribbed from not much more than posts here.

Yup, here’s the site link:
https://all.accor.com/hotel/C1D6/ind...e#origin=accor
They don’t seem to be taking new bookings yet, and I haven’t found a mention of the hotel’s club lounge either.

The property is now bookable as Pullman via the Accor website. Hugely inflated rates though (upwards of THB6000++ for advance purchase excl breakfast). Not sure if that strategy is going to fill 660 rooms if it didn't work as a Hilton and without any renovation.
And as vegasbased pointed out no rates including lounge access, although I understand that the Panorama Lounge will remain under the Pullman brand.

Sounds like the strategy that Pullman /Accor had with taking over the management of the Paris Hilton! I do not believe that they have invested a dime in the property in over a decade, but survive on the location and "history".

What! Rates THB 6.600++ is robbery by daylight. As I recall it, it used to be around THB 2,000++ (admittedly that is a few years back; I havn't been to this property for a while).

Thailand, and Phuket in particular, has got a lot more expensive. 2k isn't going to happen, but 6k still seems a lot. Choosing random August dates, which should not be especially expensive, the HGI Bang Tao is 3,155 and the Banthai in Patong is 4,958, vs. 5,874 for the Pullman. I can imagine that these rates would have been halved four years ago.
