Mary, I have had similar issues with this property. I always end up at the Hampton 2 miles up the Black Horse Pike. The ParkPlace thing is in full effect in AC. The best way to get a room there is to get it comped. That property has a very loyal following from the days of Bally Grand. Good luck. By the way...have you tried the buffet at Harrah's?

I gambled there this Wed. (12-26-01) & asked about a room. It was sold out, + I was told that the hotel was transforming from a Hilton to a Park Place Hotel like Bally's & Caesars, so no HHonors points.
How fast will they be honest enough to remove the Hilton sign??

Hilton Atlantic City?
Is the Hilton Atlantic City still part of the HHonors program. When you do a hotel search on the Hilton website this property does not appear. If you go to http://www.hiltonac.com this hotel appears to be a Ballys property. Does anyone have any info?
Thanks

Spouse and I stayed at the Atlantic City Hilton in May for one night. At check in, when showing our Gold HHonors cards, we were told that Hilton does not own the hotel anymore, ao no upgrade and no breakfast. However, we would get HH points because we paid over $125 for the room. They said, "Didn't you see that the Hilton logo on the hotel was not the same as other Hiltons?" Of course, we didn't know that checking the logo was a requirement for determining if the Hilton was, in fact, a Hilton, and we said so. To make a long story short, Jesse, at the front desk (who we fill out a favorable comment card on), upgraded us to a very comfortable corner suite overlooking both the Boardwalk and the ocean as it had big picture windows on both sides. The room was well-appointed. Extras included a Kloss table radio (similar to the Bose Wave radio) with great sound, about a 32" tv, two couches, coffee table, dining table w/4 chairs, better carpet, king bed. All in all very comfortable. Three days after our stay, the points posted and we also got credit for the stay and, last week, it also was one of the four stays we had that were included in the 50k CNTU promo. The only thing I couldn't do was book it online to get another 1000 points.

I have stayed here many times. Will be there a week from Friday as well. There should be several threads on this property if you search for Hilton Atlantic City. However, since it's really a Park Place hotel it's not a true Hilton in the sense of the name. It's hit or miss on receiving upgrades for Hilton Gold. I usually stay there for free based on my slot play and several times I've been upgraded to a corner suite. But a lot of times, they'll upgrade you if they don't have any non-smoking rooms left and you had reserved one. I've never gotten free breakfast coupons so don't count it. Also, sometimes they'll put my number in and sometimes they won't to get Hilton points. Good luck and enjoy it! Overall, a nice property on the boardwalk.

I have not stayed here yet. I did call Hilton AC directly 2 months ago. They said I would get points & a stay If the rate was $150 or higher. If under 150, no stay nor points. I wonder if this info is consistent??

Well, that depends on what you mean by "use Hhonors". The Hilton AC (on the boardwalk) is actually owned by park place hotels. (so its not a true hilton). You cannot use HHonors points for a free stay. I stayed there one month ago and was told that if I spent over $125 for a room, I would receive 1 stay credit and 500 points maximum. I decided to stay anyway. I ate at some restaurants at the Hilton etc. When the stay posted (with the 50% bonus promotion instead of miles, and 50% diamond bonus) I have 8,000 points (instead of the 500 I was expecting). I'm not complaining. I wonder if this has happened to anyone else??

Hilton Atlantic City
I bet there's something obvious that I'm missing but is there a reason the Hilton Atlantic City Casino Hotel doesn't show up when you do a hotel search on hilton.com?

Hilton Atlantic City
Has anyone stayed in the Hilton in Atlantic City? I am looking to stay there in the next few weeks, but the property doesn't show up on the Hilton reservations web page. I called Hilton Reservations and was told that property can only be booked directly with the hotel. The hotel has a web page (www.hiltonac.com) which takes reservations, but it doesn't accept HHonors account numbers.
Does anybody know if this property is part of HHonors and awards points? Does this property give upgrades/breakfast for HHonors Diamond?
Any info appreciated. Thanks!
