Hampton Double Dipping?

Few days ago, I had to evacuate my house on Sesta Key when it was almost certain that Charley will be visiting us. Somehow I got lucky and was able to secure a room at an inland Hampton Inn. I have not been with Hilton for few months now, but I'm still Gold till next March, and as I have not stayed at a Hampton for a very long time I really don't know all the rules for Double Dipping.

Anyway, No Charley :D ^ here, back home after only 1 night stay, and today received my points and miles for my stay. The rate was $89. Received 890 points plus 25% Gold bonus and 89 miles???? Isn't there a minimum?, like 250 or 500 miles? or is it just 1 mile per $ spend?

Thanks

Check your profile to see what you have checked off as your choices. You have the option of double dipping with a set number of miles (100 for Hampton and 500 for all other Hilton product), or you can select to double dipp with 1 mile per dollar spent. I also have noticed that after the posting for my stay, my account will refelct and indicate the 1 mile per dollar option. But when it does post to my Airline account, I do get the 100 or 500 miles, depending on my Hotel selection.

It depends which option you select in your profile. If you had selected the flat rate option the stay would have netted 100 miles at Hampton though a single night at (say) Homewood Suites would have netted 500 miles. Have a look at the options on the Honors web site.

Thanks. That was it. I was set for 1 point per $. Changed it as I do have some cheap stays with Hilton coming up.

I don't think I'm ready to fight for 11 miles. :D , so I'll just let it go.

Southwest Airlines credits are the way to go with Hampton Inn, you get .5 flight credits per stay, same as all other Hilton chains.

Darn straight about the southwest thing I'm getting close to getting my Companion Pass with them now and Hilton has definitely helped with that .5 points per stay.
