I need the help of some points conversion gurus!
 

Here's the deal:

1) I currently have 150k starwood point and 450k hilton points.
2) I am going to NY and plan to either stay at the Westin TS or The Waldorf for 2 nights
3) This is going to run either 20k *wood points or 80k HH points (total for both nights).
4) what would you do and why?

on a side note - I have equal opportunity to continue earning points from either program (I am HH Diamond and SPG Platinum) and I also am not saving for something in either program. I am just looking for the best deal.

If you can get the dates through the Hilton program that you want, I would go that alternative. Based on experience, it's harder to get rooms at Hilton than at *W properties due to the black out dates. Waldorf will definitely be a different type of stay than Westin TS...less modern and more aged and dated. :o I personally prefer the more modern accomodations but if you can get ride of HH points go for it.
