Not going to regain Diamond this year - strategy
I've had a baby and my work travel has been limited and been difficult to stay in Hilton properites. I need 49 nights to retain.
I think my best option is let it lapse and get a status match from Accor Gold via a challenge in 2024. This would mean limiting my stays to ensure I don't hit Gold this year.
Other thing I could do is maximize stays (I have 15 nights booked/planned for 2023 until December), I could possibly add another 14 on, but this would only get me gold.
Thoughts/ideas welcome.

If you have lifetime totals of 250+ nights and 3+ full years of Diamond, you should be able to claim a Diamond extension in March 2024.
Otherwise I would indeed just drop to Silver then MVP fast track, status match, etc. to Gold or Diamond next year.
Gold is perfectly acceptable in most hotels in Asia and Europe - the only major difference is guaranteed lounge access vs. probable lounge access - so if you organically get to Gold I would just stick with that status for a year or two until your travels are back to normal...

From my understanding, you need 60 nights to retain Diamond and any nights in excess of this roll over for the next years qualifying period?
Does the same criteria apply to needing 30 stays?
Thanks

But, oddly enough, if you accumulate 39 nights but less than 20 stays, you would drop to Silver but roll over 29 nights to 2024...
