New hilton standard? No creamer in the room?
Currently at a Home2 Suites and I am informed that Hilton no longer allow milk / creamer or sugar to be placed in the room.
With the coffee machine you only get pods only for the machine - so must drink it black!
Is this another cost cutting exercise by Hilton?

Are they claiming that Hilton mandates black coffee only?
I can just about imagine a situation where Hilton no longer requires milk/creamer in rooms, but I can't imagine that hotels would ever be penalized for offering it.

Correct it like this and I could easily believe it.
Is sugar/creamer provided in the breakfast area?

This. I could sort of see a franchisee (or even a particular hotel manager) making a short-sighted decision like this for the particular properties the franchisee operates or manages to save a few bucks. And I could also see the franchisee or manager reversing this decision after receiving a few complaints and poor reviews.

If this is the stuff you'd otherwise get they're doing you a favour. Millions of tourists are traumatised by these in US hotel rooms each year.

I just completed 2 separate stays last week. 3 nights at a HI in St. Augustine FL and 2 nights at a HGI in Victorville CA. Both properties had creamer in the rooms.

Front desk informed me that Hilton do not allow these items in the rooms. It wasn't just my room that was forgotten - it was all rooms.
They could have added the items to a future cleaning of the room if I wanted.
There was various sweeteners however.
All the various items were available at breakfast.
Following my comments I have learnt that they are discussing it at a meeting.

I was also at the same Home2 at the end of last year and the items were included.
Therefore it is a new feature for 2023 at this hotel and maybe others. I don't know

@GentleGiant: is because the package above holds plastic straws? Were these plastic straws, or maybe its single use packaging, banned per January 1, 2023?
Individual items were in other hotels and at breakfast.
No idea.

I don't like the powdered stuff and maybe, although the little liquid thingies have long shelf lives, they aren't forever, and I bet someone had curdled coffee and raised holy hell. I was recently in a hotel (not a Hilton) where there was also no creamer in the room, so when at dinner I asked our waiter for some and told him why, he gave me a bunch. Got back to the room, opened the fridge, and there they were.
