I told you I was confused! 😂

Its all points/miles/nights/avois to me these days.

So if I understand you correctly, I have status for 2023 Diamond already based on my current balance, and only those earned this year exceeding 42 roll over into 2023 for 2024 status?

sorry, I edited my post.
I understand the above calculation is correct but some experts in this forum might confirm it.

Perhaps it'll be easier for me to pay $450 for the Aspire card rather than tackle the math lol

You are already qualified for Diamond in 2023 (valid until Mar 2024) based on your 42 nights this year.

You can roll over a maximum of 60 nights.

Those 60 rollover nights will immediately qualify you for Diamond in 2024 (valid until until Mar 2025).

Thanks, finally, clarity.

I think, in my case and any others where rollover nights already qualified you for 2023 Diamond status (50 rollovers in my case), the easiest way to think of this is:

All nights *earned* this year, up to 60, carry over to next year for status through March 2025.

Having a bunch of nights scheduled through the rest of the year, nice to know they aren't going to be wasted.

I didn't see that this counts toward rollover too! Great promo by Hilton; I was gonna switch to Bonvoy after hitting Diamond but now I'll stick to HHonors the rest of the year and forego Titanium until next year (would have required a few mattress runs to get there this year with a couple of trips to Asia still getting pushed to 2023).

yeah - this looks nice, especially compared to the silly Bonvoy promos...makes it easier for me to switch back to HH for my stays for the rest of the year
I have 60 rollover from 21 and 63 for this year... I have no clue what that means for next year, but if it helps towards milestone bonus, life-time status, and more points - especially considering what Mar is offering.....

You have Diamond for 2023-March 2024 already.

Every night you've earned this year, including the double nights from this upcoming promo, will roll into next year for calculating 2024-March 2025 status.

Do the double nights count toward Lifetime?

I thought the rollover nights are only the ones that are above and beyond whatever you need for status?
So, I have 63 - 60 (if I recall) gets me Diamond for next year and then rollover 3 for a head start on the year after?

I've read all the FAQs and T&C, and "bonus" nights aren't addressed at all, unlike say, Base points vs Bonus points.

Perhaps they've never had a double
night promo before?

Well, I'm currently 11 nights away from Lifetime, so this would be a little boost to the finish line.
DiverDave and Sisosig like this.

This year only "earned" nights can carry over into next year. Not previously carried over nights.

And only "earned" nights ABOVE the tier you earned in 2022 (for 2023-March 2024) will carry over.

Since you reached Diamond this year (for 2023-March 24) with your carryover nights, everything you've earned this year is already "above your tier". Those will carryover to next year for calculating 2024-March 2025 status.

It only gets complicated for those who were not already at diamond via carryovers.

IE: If your carryovers only got you to gold this year, and you earned more taking you to diamond, only those earned above diamond will carry over for 2024-Mar 2025).

Congrats!

The extra fast milestone points bonus, 10k-10k-30k earning with the bonus nights is nice as well, thought they do make it clear that's only calculated up to a total of 365 nights a year, in case that applies to you.
