Mango House Seychelles, LXR Hotels & Resorts
This resort is now accepting reservations from 1 July 2021. They also have wide open reward availability over xmas and new year for 95,000 points... As they are asking for 2,200 euros a night over the festive period for the room, it looks like a good deal.

Sent them an email and asked if they are really open in July cause website says they will open in April. Got a reply from Habtoor Dubai hotel (also LXR, dont know why they do get the mails when using the Contact us form on Mango House website) and they expect the hotel to be open in March. Confusing for me. Why would the accept booking from July when they expect opening in March?

Ruhroh; showing sold out now through July 16th... wonder if announcement delaying opening is imminent. (And how they will accommodate those of us with confirmed bookings. Kids aren't allowed at Northolme, Labritz is logistically difficult, and the DT is far from comparable. IMHO the FS seems a reasonable alternative.)

However, are they even obligated to rebook if the hotel won't be open? I'm wondering what the policy is for this since I'm booked towards the end of July, but may very well end up needing alternative accommodations if there is another delay.

No idea, but I would hope Hilton would do the right thing here, especially for a Diamond at (what purports to be) one of their top brands.
My only similar experience was several years ago with Starwood, where the hotel at which I booked left the chain. Was booked into a suite at the Westin Auckland; they accommodated my family at the Langham in a comparable room.
