Whether or not the Homewood Suites goofed up by not getting other staff there before the roads closed, I think this guy needs some positive attention.

Imelda made landfall at peak intensity at 12:30PM CT (a slow time of day for any hotel, after checkouts are finished and before checkins have started). 45 minutes after it formed. Don't know how any reasonable person can blame the hotel.

Unfortunately, if you were to have a glance at various threads outside of Flyertalk, it's a common theme. I was trying to get ahead of it.

I wonder if the kid is majoring in hospitality management. I have a cousin who is doing this now, and part of the degree is working a certain amount of hours in multiple functions at area hotels. If this is the case here, I really hope Hilton gets him a good offer post-graduation. He's an asset.
