Doubletree by Hilton Napier {NZL} (not yet Honors)

The hotel's website says that reservations from 31 December 2019 are accepted. When booking (mid February) it says: "no vacancies for your dates". As of today, I see the message "coming soon!" instead.
Does anyone know any more details?
Thank you.

I put the question yesterday and found the answer to it today.
From the hotel's website: "We're opening in November 2019, but aren't accepting reservations yet"

The builder/operator [think that is correct terms] is the same as at Doubletree Wellington, where I have had great visits over the past 12 plus months.

Being in Napier right now. I walked down to the hotel's site and asked a local if this will be the future DT Napier. He confirmed and said that is it a former office building and work is going on for two years now (see fotos shot today).
The website sais 'opening 2nd quarter 2020. The local doubted it and after looking into the ground floor I doubt it, too. A private medical facility will open in the same building and one or two more companies have an office in there, too.
The location is on the corner of Munroe and Raffle Street in a less attractive quarter. However, two supermarkets (Pak'n Save and Countdown) are at the doorstep. And a further down Raffle Street is a nice looking café, Raffle St Café, in a charming small house.
Walking distance to the Marine Parade and to the Art Deco district is short. So this DT would be a viable option for accommodation, especially if parking would be free. Right now I stay in the Masonic hotel for the second time. An Art Deco hotel, well maintained, best located. But it comes with a price.

Looks like the property has been removed from Hilton site.

The property [at 34 Monroe Street, Napier] will not be a Doubletree. I have just visited Napier and it is in the final fit-out phase, after a variety of business difficulties during Covid.
The new brand is "swiss-belboutique".

I am now in Wellington at the Doubletree, operated by the former planned operator for the Napier operation - Sarin Investments, which now has no reference to Napier on their website, but their intended Christchurch Modern Hotel [Tapestry Collection] is still part of their planned openings, but the site is far from ready!.

Thanks for the update

And just to add to the note on the Tapestry Collection in Christchurch [no thread seen yet], I took a photograph of the way it looks today!! 79 Hereford Street, near Oxford Terrace corner. On a previous visit, there was signage about Safe Work actions. That does not seem to be there now. Does not look anywhere near ready for opening!

The number 79 appear on the upper left side of the doorway.

Thanks for the update. Not surprising. Tourism is pretty much dead in NZ and is very concerning. I recently stayed at DoubleTree Queenstown and the rate was NZ$69 a night.
