Gold breakfast benefit at HGI for two rooms (mutual account)

Mrs. Watchful and I have old (no longer available) mutual account with gold status.

In true OCD FT fashion, I am trying to figure out a way to get four breakfasts for us and family members for two rooms later this year.

If we book two rooms, my guess is that we should have a pretty good chance to get two breakfasts per room...my actual experience is that most properties go a little further than what they have to do.

Would it be worth going to the trouble to have two separate reservations (one in my name one in Mrs. Watchful's name) or would that just make it MORE complicated due to staff being so unfamiliar with the mutual account?

As always, thanks for all thoughts and opinions, even those that contradict!

While the mysteries of rule interpretation are wondrous, my recent experience as a Gold member at an HGI in Ontario was as follows:

I booked two rooms in my name for a total of three guests, all three received Gold Benefit breakfast.

Hope this helps.
