All the rooms point in the same, basic direction. That direction is "towards the water" with only a little east-vs-west angle to the patio views.

If you have kids- a smaller size casita closer to the family and kid pools are better than the larger villas that are a hike away at the vet back of the property

Continental Breakfast is free for diamonds. $10 ++ 31% upcharge for the hot buffet (egg station with Mexican food option; very small and limited size

Are your kid(s) infants? My 3 kids are 3+ in age and I gave them all Amazon Fire tablets to keep them busy. 1 of them fell asleep and the 2 were ok. We had a 730pm time and our kids are late sleepers. So it all depends on your kids age and your tolerance for tablets.

How much would an Uber cost from Flora Farms to Pedregal?
skip flora farms and go to el huerto for similar experience much closer to hotel.

Our little guy is good for a dinner that is an hour and a half or so but a dinner pushing 3 hours probably would have been hard on all of us and taken away from the experience so we went with the babysitter. That being said I do think el farralon is overrated but the setting is one of a kind and needs to be done once.

Good suggestion. Everyone should go to Flora Farms once. We've been several times as we really enjoy their expansive grounds. We have rented a car at the airport and driven ourselves. It's a challenging drive at points, dirt and bumpy.

We went to El Huerto on a recent trip and really enjoyed it. It's close to WA, easy to get there with Uber. It's open for breakfast and dinner, not midday. It is a good farm to table option in an attractive setting.

Looks like an Uber to Flora Farms would be $35 or so, one way. I personally really like Flora Farms and while Huerta farm to table was good, it felt very manufactured. I would much prefer returning to Flora Farms and we've been a handful of times. I think San Jose del Cabo is worth exploring; a much different feel than Cabo San Lucas, where WA is located. Some good things to do if you head out that way:

- swim at Chileno Bay (this is still on the corridor but further towards SJD)
- Floral Farms and/or Acre, another farm to table restaurant. Some peeps do drinks at one and food at the other since they are near each other
- Check out the historic district and gallery district in SJD
- Thursday nt art walk
- visit the church, get a paleta and/or grab some street food from the square in front of the church

Definitely think San Jose Del Cabo is worthy of an evening but would not spend a night there personally ; is only a 45 min drive away
Similarly I would say you can see Todos Santos (1 hr / 15 min away) but would not spend the night.

I day tripped to both of these towns from Cabo and also to La Paz for swimming with whale sharks which is much further but also had a rental car so that made things much easier to take such trips.

Second guest check in

Planning to go there for first visit January 2024. I booked one night with my own FNC and was wondering if anyone had experience booking with another Hilton member FNC and then adding me as a second guest for check in. The other Hilton member will not be there.

TIA

Just came back last week. We used two FNCs issued to two members, but both of us went. They did ask for all of our passports during check in. Not sure if this would help.

Thanks everyone. My kid is an infant and he usually can only sit still in his stroller for about an hour or so before he gets fussy, so I ended up using the babysitting service. It was a staff from the kids club as well and it was great!

Agreed that el faralln is overrated. Id probably skip it the next time I stay there.

Question: did you book 1 standard room with points for 2 adults and 3 children? Or was it 2 standard rooms?

Uno Standard Room

I book a standard room and was eventually upgraded to a casitas. When I booked, it was a frankenstein monster of 1 night FNC, 1 night FNC, and 2 nights with points. I had to call customer support to note that it's all 1 reservation. Also, when I hastily booked these, I only put 2 adults. So I also told them I'll have 3 kids with me and mentioned their age. What they couldn't do was cancel and then rebook it all as one so all they did was add a note... When I arrived on property, they knew it was 1 booking for 4 nights but no mention of kids. They sent a rollaway bed for $100/night but in the final folio, it wasn't charged so I guess I saved $400 that went towards El Farallon.

Note that the room officially states occupancy of 3...

Are there upgrade options for $? Booked the standard room that's available for points redemption and wondering if I can upgrade using cash? How much typically?

Given the cost differences on the rooms and the fact that the standard room really does not exist ; I would suspect upgrading to anything that made sense to upgrade to would be well over $500 per night.
I don't know the actual upgrade costs. Ocean View and Pacific View are same thing both have plunge pools just different online to control point inventory.

I don't know if I just got lucky but when I was here for 3 nights in Jan I was upgrades to the Dos Mares Suite without requesting an upgrade or anything. It was my first time at the property YMMV.
