Halfway to LTD... Fun with Statistics
I just earned my 500th night in a Hilton property since joining the program in 2013. I went nerdy with the activity spreadsheet I keep. Below is some fun with statistics of my lifetime activity with Hilton.
Award Points Earned per Night:
Unique Properties:
Total Nights by Brand:
Interesting Observations: About 65% of my stay activity is with Hamptons and HGIs. However, since I started the program, my spend per night has increased by 45%. Economy is doing better, rates are rising, etc. With that, the award points per night have increased by the same margin. I redeem 1 award night roughly every 8 paid nights. I'm content with that ratio considering the lower-tier hotel paid nights (HI&S, HGI) and higher-tier award nights (WA, Hilton). |
I wish I had the time and resourced to compile that detail. Also the fact that my stay was split between Marriott , Hilton, Hyatt and independents makes it complex/
2019: 78 nights Marriott 370k points - redeemed some 19 nights Hilton 140k points - redeemed some 30 plus flights - Domestic 2 flights - international 80 plus days of rental car - Avis / National |
The sad part is that Hilton will probably say that you've done 412 or 438 or 487 or 515 nights on your way to the LTD requirements.
I received an email for the 100th anniversary that said I've stayed in 44 cities with Hilton. Not even close... |
