Do you get HH points for buying food and drink

Good day all

Do you get HH points for buying food and drink during your stay as well as base points,

I know Hampton only give you points based on the price you paid for the room.....

Thanks

You do get points if you charge food and beverages to you room if the establishment is hotel owned and operated.

Generally yes, there are brand restrictions on the lower end properties as you cite.

Hampton, Homewood, and Home2Suites (perhaps Tru as well?) give points on room rate only. You should receive points all spending other brands, but as mentioned above, occasionally the restaurant is not managed by the hotel itself; your being able to charge to room at those is a convenience. Those are rare, but you may see no dining points, and if you follow up with Hilton you will be informed those charges did not qualify.
