Hilton 100 Year Anniversary Today (31 May)
I’m spending a weekend at a Hilton while Hilton celebrates its 100th anniversary, today, 31 May. I only became aware a few days ago that the actual anniversary date was 31 May, obviously I couldn’t miss the overall 100 year marketing. It’s a coincidence I’m staying at a property this weekend however but with over three years worth of stays at properties so far, perhaps not such a huge coincidence. At this location, there is a flower and balloon display in the lobby showing “100” and there will be gifts for Honors members and some kind of “flash mob” whatever that is. I hope that won’t require me to seek Consular assistance. I will post some photos. Is anyone else staying at a property in this time? And what are they doing to celebrate the anniversary? I totally commend Hilton on celebrating a genuine 100 years. It seems Mr Conrad Hilton was a lot better at maths that BA Barbara- founded 1974 she thinks she’s 100! And there I was thinking women like to underestimate their age. |
I'm checking into the DT in Westminster CO for the weekend for a graduation. I'll see what they have in store.

We will be checking in at Seattle Hilton on June 1. Wonder of the party will be over then...

We’re staying at the Beijing Hilton and two attractive young ladies with big smiles announced the anniversary and handed us frosted cupcakes as we stepped outside this May 31 morning. :) |
Unfortunately I don't have a stay today, but my local Hilton (Doubletree Forest Pines resort) are giving the 100th guest to check in today a bottle of champagne.

Just checked into Hilton Queenstown, New Zealand. Was handed a letter explaining that it was the 100th birthday, and a list... containing my Diamond benefits!
Was also invited to join a party at Wakatipu Grill including buffet dinner and unlimited beer and wine for NZ$100. Settled into Stacks Pub instead where they are celebrating by giving free garlic bread when you order 2 pizzas. #underwhelmed |
Nothing special at Hilton MAD airport (Madrid Spain) other then the worst breakfast I have ever had at a Hilton 😁
