Does Hilton Status Apply for Bookings from AA or Amex?

Does Hilton Status Apply for Bookings from AA or Amex?
I know that IHG won't recognize status or allow points earning for any bookings that come through online travel portals. Is that the same case with Hilton?

For Amex it depends on the booking method. If using Amex FHR you will receive credit and amenities based on your member status with the property. If you use regular Amex travel services then you do not receive credit for your stay or have your member status recognized.
