combine weekend nights and points to get 5th free no longer possible?
Hi All,
There are multiple DP that combine weekend nights and points to get 5th free is possible. But I made more than 5 phone calls, spoke to both supervisor and diamond team, they all said to get the 5th night free it needs to be booked all on points.
Is it likely that they changed their system to forbid that? Any DP recently? Thanks in advance for your reply!

It never has worked that way. From the Hilton Honors terms and conditions -
5th Night Free: For every Standard Room Reward stay of five or more nights, every 5th night is free. Members can utilize the 5th Night Free benefit on an unlimited number of stays annually. Applies only to five consecutive nights within the same full Points Standard Room Reward stay at the same property, up to 20 nights, when confirmed at time of booking

You might ask the people that posted the information in your links but I don’t remember anyone posting here that they were able to use free night certs for 5th night free.
As noted in one of your links the terms and conditions do not allow the use of free night certs to substitute for points for 5th night free.
