Aspire Amex card - Can I use before card arrives.
Hi,
I am currently in Asia at the beginning of a 10 night Conrad stay in Singapore and Bangkok.
I think it would be very beneficial for me to have an Aspire Amex card . If I was to apply today and get approved is it possible for me to use the card tomorrow without having physical access to it?

Aspire Amex
I applied for an Aspire early February and was given an online account number but with a reduced CL and an expiration date for the end of the month. I am assumed the online account number is only for online purchases. So in your case if you are using the card aboard, a physical card might be needed.

With each of my new AMEX cards, I was also given a card number to begin using immediately. I think the only thing different when I received the actual card was the 4-digit security code. You can also add it to your Apple Pay if you use such a thing - I did because I wanted to get a head start on hitting my spending. That might be a workaround solution if the hotel accepts such payments. Probably best to check with Amex and the hotel at the same time.

Instant Card Number
Instant Card Number eligibility is based on our ability to instantly validate your identity. If you are eligible for Instant Card Number, you will receive an Instant Card Number that you can use virtually anywhere American Express is accepted and a physical Card will not be required. You may not have access to your full credit line to use anywhere the Card is accepted until after you confirm receipt of your physical Card. We will mail your card in 3-5 business days of account approval.

I applied and got the card number instantly.
The hotel accepted the new “card “ as I had a photo of the card generated by the approval.
I have managed to add it to Hilton as my preferred payment so hopefully the next location accept it.
I really appreciate the replies.
