48 Stays
72 Nights
153,191 Base Points
No points redeemed
No memorable stays, 1 upgrade to something I would consider worthwhile, other than that just the usual grind of dull, conformist hotels.

Nights: 26 (with one to come)
Unique Properties: 18 (with one to come)
Reward Nights Redeemed: 5
Stays per Brand:
DT: 1
Hampton by Hilton: 1
Hilton: 15 (one to come)
Hilton Garden Inn: 1
With only three work stays this year has been more memorable than last year's workhorse stays.
Basically spend a fortnight in various hilton on a holiday covering Manchester, Japan and Heksinki (airport). Celebrated my/our engagement in the Osaka Hilton lounge (not enough points for five nights of the Conrad). Budapest was also fantastic with some other little breaks mixed in. Only three months of diamond left so going to tick off Dubrovnik in March.

Stays: 54
Nights: 142
I mostly stayed at Hampton Inn properties followed by Hilton Garden Inn, Embassy Suites and Doubletree Inns.
I could have increased my stays from 54 to 60 or so and nights from 142 to around 190 had I stayed at Hilton properties exclusively for the year. I made a push to try and attain lifetime Marriott Platinum Premier Elite and realized I would still end up around 25 nights short with heavy Q4 travel. I also took 15 weeks off attending to various things (the independent consultant's prerogative ). Next year I should be in the 60+ stay and close to 200+ nights and should attain 2020 Diamond Status sometime in March/April.

So you don't need to stays at Hilton in 2019 at all to qualify for 2020 Diamond.

Have to love that benefit. However, I stay at Hilton properties because I honestly believe the bedding is more comfortable than any other chain. Also, I believe the product is more consistent than the other brands, specifically any Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express property. I also am not really impressed with Marriott properties, even though I have lifetime Platinum Elite status. I suppose I will work towards my 2021 qualification via roll over for 2019.
