The facility to chat with an operator seams to have gone any anyone else noticed this ?

I hope it's been made less distracting: every time you refresh browser / change dates / return to property listings, it "DING"s and has to be clicked to dismiss.

I hate that DING so much that now I manually mute the speakers each time I go to the search page.

Somehow they make it sound 10x louder than the default system alert sound.

Thank god! That was super annoying. I really hate all these chat functions that uses sound to announce themselves.

It has already annoyed me more than five times today. Everytime I browse through a search result the stupid thing pops up over the info I'm looking at. Sorry sir/madam, you have taken more than five seconds to book a room so we think you are somewhat retarded. Please start a chat with us so we can fix that..

I’ve necer actually used the chat but that ding always makes me jump!
Are the chat agents typical reservation agents or just website support?
