Overlapping paid with award stay

Overlapping paid with award stay
I've read that you can't have two different stays credited with points for the same date. Suppose I book the same night in two different properties, and personally check-in to both of them on the same day, with one of the stays being regular revenue and the other an award. Will the revenue stay be at risk of not being credited due to the same night "colliding" with the award night?

But you might have to 'fight" for them . . .
