Spent a 2 night weekend here early April with the 50% off Sunday rate for about 260euro total.  Upgraded to a deluxe room which essentially was a suite on the top floor.

Check In

Showed up a bit early but was greeted very warmly with a recognition of diamond status with an upgrade.  They took time to explain the property and ammenities as it is spread over quite a large area.  Personally escorted to my room and was shown how everything functions.

Room

Apparently all rooms are slightly different.  This was a very nice room on the top floor (439) with a spacious sleeping area and different sitting area.  Essentially this is a suite.  The bathroom is also very nice with a large tub and shower which was appreciated after some of the small European showers.  Nice amenities.  Only complaint is the shower never did get hot but only luke warm.

Service

Everyone was exceptionally nice and helpful.

Dining

Buffet style breakfast was good with large selection.  Sunday morning was better and more people resulted in fresher and warmer food.  Monday some items were cold due to lack of turnover.  One of the better breakfasts.

Golf club - had lunch here and was fine.

Antica Posta Bar - down the hill towards the spa.  My only real complaint here.  There were 3 people in the bar.  The server was rude and at first wouldn't do a room charge even though it is part of the property.  I was sitting outside when I heard a loud (pizza is ready!!) which was my prompt to walk into the bar to get the pizza.  Really?  He couldn't have walked 30 feet and put it on the table?  Pizza was bland and overpriced.

Location

Everything is on a large property and requires either a shuttle or car to leave the main area.  Not a big deal.  It's close to Siena where a day visit is easily done as well as other nearby Tuscan towns.  Pretty area and nicely done.

Spa

There is the Buddha spa which is quite nice.  As diamond it was free but they charge 25 euro (not sure about gold) otherwise.  I wouldn't pay but it was a nice and relaxing place to spend an hour or two.  Normal spa services.

Amenities

Golf course.  The greens had just been punched and sanded so I didn't play.  It's a nice looking links style by Robert Trent Jones.  Fees are 100 euro (25% off for hotel guests with free cart) and 30 euro club rental.  I could see the course from my room and #18 is a monster par 5 all uphill and well bunkered.

Overall

This is one of the better Hilton properties I've stayed at and would stay again.  The rate was good at 130euro/nt which I'm sure increases during high season.  Treated very well as a diamond and they were genuinely concerned about my comfort.  They do have that silly 2 bottles of water for the stay but I'm sure they would have brought more if I asked.  Tap water was perfectly fine.

Nice review!

We stayed there last summer and really enjoyed ourselves. It was such a unique property.

We stayed last year October for 5 nights on points as Gold (think I paid 175k points, rates were 230€ up a night) and received a Superior room IIRC.

Our room was in a building right next to the owners villa, close to reception building, on the second floor directly looking at the garden of the owners villa. Definitely a nice property and grounds as to say that serious money was spend. Car absolutely recommended, a pain otherwise and expensive.

Staff was friendly in general with a few grumbles here and there, well Italy to you, no complaints.

Issues we had was that in mid-Oct it could get rather cold at night and you couldn't warm up the room for the life of it. At least our water was super hot, but the bathtub took about 30mins to fill up I kid you not. A trickle only from the faucet.

Lastly, breakfast we did find rather disappointing to be honest. Day one it passed just about, after that you saw many items again the following day and some items really looked like they actually were the left over ones from the day before. Quality of cold cuts and cheeses etc was just about okay, but a bit embarrassing for a high end property like this one in a place like Tuscany, at least in our book and after several weeks in Italy where our go to Agritourismo whipped up a vastly better spread and quality. Hey YMMV.

There are a couple villages 15 minutes or so away so a car is really necessary. Do not use the Hilton site to find the hotel by clicking the directions link. It takes you to one of these villages. Either manually put the address in a GPS or google maps. Putting in the golf course will also get you very close.

Stayed here - so our stay was great here.

Checking in easy and the usual Hilton Family welcome

Help with bags to room

Room good A/C could be a little cooler but it was 32 degrees at the time outside

Pool lovely

Breakfast very good all looked fresh and tasted fresh

Service and coffees were great

Beautiful surrounding, flowers and shrubs stunning

Pool good and a decent size for swimming

Drink as usual very expensive 5 euros for a coke by the pool

This place is delivering on every level

Easy drive to lots of amazing places to eat.

I always find driving into Siena to be difficult. Does anyone know if they have a bus that regularly goes into the old section?

We will be traveling as a group of four adults. Am I better off to book two double rooms (quite small) or a family suite? The family suite is 3x the space and more than 3x the number of points. It is a duplex with the living room on the ground floor and I suppose the two bedrooms on the upper floor.

I think that would depend on a few factors such as the time of year traveling and your Hilton status. Low or shoulder season you should get at least one upgrade which is a good sized room. The other factor is how close or apart you want to be from the other two people. ;-)

FYI - if driving with google maps I would use the golf course as the reference unless the hotel has updated the address. It's about 5 minutes from the golf course.

We spent one night here after a day in hot packed Siena. It was nice to leave the city and within 30 minutes be at this village of a hotel. We were given two rooms in the main building where breakfast is served. There are only 3 rooms in this building. There is no elevator. Our second room was upgraded to a superior double and it was very nice. It had a separate sitting room. We had used points for a junior suite. It had more space and additional furniture but nothing that added to the comfort of the double.

The pizza restaurant onsite is closed on Monday nights so we went into town. It was roughly a 10 minute drive and was a good decision. We had a good pizza at the affordable Lo Sfizio, San Rocco a Pilli. We finished it with gelato at the large coffee bar/bakery/gelateria that is at the entrance to town.

Hotel is closed (due to local prevention rules) until July 1st, 2021. According to it's own website, it will accept reservations after that (however, none can be made as of now).

However, according to the same website, as of July 31st, the hotel will cease operations as a Hilton Hotel.
So for anyone willing to visit this, you've got about 30 days in July this year to do so, after that, you're SOL.

And a look at July shows every day sold out, so it appears as if there is no way to use points or otherwise enjoy HH benefits before the transition.

The Hotel is leaving the Hilton Group now. They canceled my existing reservation for September and the new owner will make an offer to stay there. My question to keep the existing reservation with the confirmed conditions is still not answered.

If it is a cash reservation usually properties don't mind retaining it, points and such of course not. So it would be a bit odd for them cancelling it, but depends probably if they think they can sell the room for more going forward.

I’ve been trying to modify an August reservation, and they just informed me that the property will remain closed for the remainder of 2021.
