TPG said that staying at any Waldorf-Astoria or Conrad property will qualify for the $250 resort credit. Is that not true? The Wiki says that only eligible resorts at the Hilton.com/resorts website will qualify.

Getting an Amex credit doesn't mean you didn't spend $250 at a resort. You get points on the $250 you spent and I would expect the credit as well. In any event triggering the resort credit doesn't require spending $250, you are credited for all resort spending up to $250 so in any event you will receive at least a $250 credit.

Read #629 again - he was asking something different.

Do you have to be staying at a Hilton resort to use the 250 resort credit? Thanks for your help.

The Wiki is correct and TPG is mistaken.

You must stay at one of the listed properties at www.hilton.com/resorts

My husband upgraded from the Ascend to the Aspire two weeks ago . Had a conference by chance at the Hilton Orlando starting on Sunday. On Monday I saw the $50 Hilton credit on Amex and added it. A few days after check out both the $50 and the $250 credits hit. Good way to take chip away at $450 cc fee!

My apologies....but I didn't see in the WIKI. When this thread began nearly one year ago, ADVANCED PURCHASE RATES FOR DOMESTIC US PROPERTIES were not triggering the credit.

I read a few examples that people thought this was corrected and a couple that said that any AP booked Hilton hotel was also triggering the credit.

Has anyone had recent experience booking an AP Rate for a domestic US RESORT PROPERTY and having the credit post automatically?

Stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton Greenville Golf Resort & Conference Center on 03/15/2017 for two days and haven't got $250 credits yet. Is it normal?
Thanks,

I'd love to know the answer to this as well.

The AP rate is such a large difference in price. Silly to give up the difference of $246 (HH discount) and $175 for the AP (this is for the Hilton Anatole in Dallas).

Longtime reader, first time poster.

Booked Hilton Ponce Resort using a promo for buying three nights, get one free on the Hilton APP. Was listed as a non-refundable rate.

Total was $698.52.

Used Amex promo for $50 off $250 and was applied during stay. Then received the $250 resort credit on the following day after checking out. Not a bad double-dip.

Has anyone ever had success getting the resort credit by just golfing (not staying at the resort) at The Boulders Golf Course near Scottsdale, AZ?
I have a credit expiring Mid-April, and am going to Scottsdale in early July. Was thinking of calling and trying to pre-pay for a tee time to trigger the credit.
Thanks in advance.
