'See the World Sale'... coming soon!!

Just received an email about an upcoming sale, starting tuesday.
Discounts up to 25% off will be given. The sale rates will be prepaid (as usual) and hotels worldwide will be participating (quiet unusual as Asia, Europa and US usually have separate sales...).
If you were planning to book prepaid rates (I often book them myself) it might be worth waiting a few days.

Hilton sales are so annoying. The best available rate always goes up to make these price look better which means any flex rates I book now cost more money while the sales are on .

I have been researching hotels in the USA for a trip later in the year. All the rates have shot up in last 24-36 hours and now I know why....The sale will just bring them back to where they have been for weeks!

Hilton would fall hard on their ... in Europe if someone compiled a spreadsheet of their pricing manipulation for sales because Iím quite sure in many cases it doesnít meet European legislation on transparency and minimum pricing periods.

Not related to a "See the World" sale, but the Palmer House just sent email for a Spring Break sale with prices higher than I have ever paid at the Palmer House.

Hi,

I hope there is a good sale for Tokyo and Hong Kong.!

I have a good rate at the Hilton Tokyo ay Y37k per night ( Exec level ) but would not mind a reduction or a good reduction at the Conrad ( probably unlikely)

An Exec room at Conrad HK is over HKG 4000 per night ( have booked the Hyatt TST)

Regards

Someone would have to make a formal complaint to the relevant EU body in order for an investigation to begin.

The sale starts officially on the 13th but seems like they slowly start to load some sale rates (Hilton Phuket Arcadia for example).

Tried to check Doubletree Penang's FLASH rate during July, and i see nothing yet but I'll wait another 1-2 day for flash sales being loaded to determine if sale prices is cheaper than 40,000 points (5 nights).
