I see that the Wiki says that points/redemptions bookings are exempt from the $6 pp green tax. Has the resort confirmed this or are we just assuming they won't try to charge those of us on points bookings?

I would assume most people staying at the WA would be flying in on a major middle eastern airline. The major 3 ME airlines have two inbound flights per day? And out of those most would want to fly in on the earlier flight.

You can’t reasonably expect the yacht to be private considering its an hours ride round trip. If you have three separate guests on the same flight who gets to go first while the rest wait?

I really think this board is dramatically off when it comes to understanding the value of the yacht transfer. Try and rent a superyacht in the Maldives and tell me if you can find one for $200 an hour.

True, but I think they were advertising it as a "private transfer" which is misleading, especially for the amount of money they are charging.

I always assumed “private” was a poor translation for “direct or non-shared” boat ride. As in, only used by the WA to direct their customers staying at the WA only, with no other stops.

I wouldn't consider what they have a "superyacht", plus if it's not private and you're sharing it with other people, then $200 per person isn't that far fetched.

I never thought it was private. My reservations says "A shared return transfer on the resort's private yacht is charged at US$370 + taxes and service per person."
Btw, those menus are funny - $42 average for a pizza? That better be top notch given the highest price I've seen here in Tokyo was $28 at the Ritz Carlton. Even a $5 pizza here is superb. I think I'll take my chances and convince my daughter to pass on that one.

Just had a look a the Menus. Prices seem to be a bit steep.
Food prices are always difficult to compare, but
when you have a look at the wine list, prices are about 50-100% more than at Conrad Maldives!
Interested to see, how the breakfast will be and if they will try to keep up with the St.Regis Vommuli.

I can’t quite tell if the prices of spirits are for a bottle or glass. If it’s the latter, on man..... this place is so expensive.
