That is the old Sindlesham Mill Hotel which has been a Moat House and most recently a Best Western ie not a new build hotel but is subject to a refurbishment ( http://www.getreading.co.uk/news/bus...multi-13075132 )

Motorway 4, Junction 10 does sound like an appealing name for a full service hotel.

It's to distinguish it from the main Hilton Reading, which is off J11. Reading has a population of 162,000 and only three highway exits, which is actually quite a lot for the UK.

This could be an interesting budget option for work trips for me though.

Am here now.

No cookies available, have to return.

Room okay but no sockets near desk. Windows in the room open! So room is rather cold. Hopefully it will warm up soon.

Will report back on other bits soon ..

A big recommendation to avoid.

One accessible socket in the entire room which is large. All others are round pins None Near the bed

Toilet had not been flushed

Nestle coffee machine in the room but no capsules and no cups. When asked the hotel doesn't have any!

Breakfast is poor. Machine to service tea and coffee however milk is the other side of the room. The milk is not even near the cereals it is with the cold selection The area next to the tea bags is filled with a dozen small teapots all very strange. Very poor cold selection, three bits of ham for example, being first down there should be plenty of choice.

The hotel is convenient for the M4 similar distance to the Hilton but that is where the comparison ends

I doubt I will return unless I need an additional stay.

Forgot to mention the tap in the bathroom is very strong Put it on anything more than slight and you will be soaked

On checkout I was told that the coffee machine is not new and that they should have the bits I do not like being lied to ..

Finally the Internet is slow 1.5mbs download

All of which are fixable, but it has a way to go...

Oh dear, what a calamity.......... thanks for the reports, sounds poor I’ve also heard stories of the car park flooding too in bad weather.
Obviously only to be used when location is key, that said the Hilton reading is not far off the M4 too.

Half the car park is tarmacked - the other half is sand almost. It has various building vehicles on it and a welfare unit. So not really a car park - perhaps more of overflow area, and yes it would flood easily.

Car park is controlled by a barrier and you need to enter 0123 to exit.

The car park has flooded in the past - it is next to the River Lodden. Here is a video from 2014 (when a Best Western) ….
