As the 2017 travel year comes to an end, I’m excited to share the details of our first promotion for the New Year! Starting January 1, Points Unlimited will give Hilton Honors members 2,000 Bonus Points per stay, plus an additional 10,000 Bonus Points on every five stays.

More details are included below:

• Registered Hilton Honors members earn 2,000 Bonus Points per stay
• On top of that, members also earn 10,000 Bonus Points every five stays, regardless of tier with no limit on the number of Points you can earn
• Promotion Stay Period runs January 1 – April 30, 2018
• Offer available at over 5,000 hotels worldwide
• No minimum stay requirements, no cap on the Points earned

And here are a few examples to show the number of Bonus Points you can earn per stay with this promotion (not including Base Points earned):
1 stay = 2,000 Bonus Points
2 stays = 4,000 Bonus Points
5 stays = 20,000 Bonus Points
6 stays = 22,000 Bonus Points
10 stays = 40,000 Bonus Points

Any hotels opting out? I notice the careful wording of "available at over 5,000 hotels worldwide", rather than "all hotels are participating".

Reward stays do count .. and as long as you're registered for "Points Unlimited" before you check-out, the stay would be eligible for the promotion.

Yeah, that means that on properties where you get 1k points as a Gold/Diamond benefit, you in effect are getting a 3k rebate in points on a one night award. On cheap properties for one night stays that's not terrible.

A little disappointing as weekly travelers who stay 4+ nights at a time; great for true road warriors city hopping every night.

As always nice promotions just not one I get to maximize as well

Every quarterly promo has always applied to already booked stays. There's no need to cancel and rebook, just register for the promo.

At this point I have 66 nights booked across 11 stays in the 4 months of the promotion, all leisure. That gives me 42,000 bonus points. Under the current promotion now operating I earned that number of bonus points in the last 3 stays over 14 nights.

42,000 points buys at most a free night and mostly less for me. So it is a large step backwards and not very generous for me and I guess anyone with a similar stay pattern. Oh well, it is swings and roundabouts and life goes on. Good luck to all the road warriors.
