The resort benefit on the Aspire card only works at the ~200 hotels on the list at this link:
http://www3.hilton.com/en/resorts/index.html#
For existing Surpass card holders, AMEX verbally confirmed that on or after 20 January 2018, card holders can call in and request cards be converted to Aspire - while maintaining the same credit card number, balance limits, PIN, etc.

For the Aspire card, the Annual Weekend Night Reward will be issued in the form of a redeemable code and sent in an email from Hilton Honors to the email address listed on your Hilton Honors account. You will receive the reward email within 8-14 weeks after opening your Card Account and each year within 8-14 weeks after your Card Account anniversary date. E-mail for Hilton providing the free night certificate has been received by several people..

One data point from family member: ~11 months. Then it disappeared a few weeks later. But then came back another week later.

I do not want to cancel my Ascend as it is my first US card and I want to keep the little history built up already.
I upgraded before these offers, so can't answer your 1st question.
As for not wanting to cancel your Ascend, my acct number didn't change so I assume it's treated as an upgrade to an existing acct and not a "new/replacement" acct. They did send a new physical card, so the 4 digit "secret" confirmation number printed on the card had changed, just as it would when you get a new card to replace an expired one.
FYI ... there's not much to tell the Ascend physical card apart from the Aspire. The colors on my Aspire are a little darker, but there's no marketing logos other than AMEX and "Hilton Honors". On the back, just below the signature box, in tiny print, is the only place where it says Ascend or Aspire.

I've had mine just under a year. I opened this account with amex global transfer and have zero credit history in the usa previous to this. They started me on a hilarious 1k credit limit, then made it 3k. No more increases 'so soon'.

So far most data points suggest the upgrade offer is close to card anniversary. I was hoping it would be earlier...

Just got the offer 2months out from my anniversary. I do have upcoming Hilton stays this weekend. Any ideas how long it takes for the upgrade to process online on the account? Any ideas also if the previously enrolled offers on the ascent transfer over to the aspire?

I recently upgraded to Ascend from the no-fee card & began seeing offers to upgrade to Aspire almost immediately.

I got an email from amex for ascend 150K/3K offer even though i already have ascend card. I clicked on apply and logged in and got the message that I am pre-approved.
Will i get bonus if I apply? Should I first cancel the existing card?
TIA

When did you get the no-fee card? Maybe the upgrade offer was triggered from that initial Hilton card.

In my case, I got the no-fee Hilton Amex card over a decade ago. (I got a bunch of no-fee Hilton Citi cards in the meantime, but I cancelled the last one of those before it could get auto-converted to an Amex.) Then about a month or two after the new cards debuted mid-January 2018, I got the offer to upgrade to Ascend with plenty bonus points. (I'd ignored various upgrade offers to predecessor Surpass over the years.) It took me a couple months to do the spend and get the upgrade bonus HH points, and a couple months after that I started seeing the offer to upgrade to Aspire with 150k bonus points (which I waited until November to actually jump on).

So the way I see it, the upgrade offers were triggered by the availability dates of the new cards more than anything timing-wise about my previous card.that I can see.

Here's a data point I received from the chat:
I noticed that your account was open on [MONTH] [DATE], 2018 and as per the upgrade policy account must be 1 year tenure.
Guess I won't get the upgrade offer until this summer at the earliest...

Not seeing point earnings/summaries on my Hilton statements now. If others know a way to see them, I'd like to know.

with the age of this card, i doubt anymore DPs on the property credit are needed but just as an additional reminder, the 100usd property credit is only available for paid bookings

booked two nights at the conrad osaka for an upcoming trip (1 night points, 1 night using the free weekend certificate from this card) and was informed the ZZAAP1 code for the 100usd credit can only be used on a paid, specific rate which others have mentioned is usually higher than the normal rates

i wish it was as easy as the 250usd resort credit! just used mine last month at the hilton niseko village

My Delta Am Ex statement just closed and I noticed the mile summary is no longer showing on the statement nor is the MQM spend tracker. Hopefully this isn't a permanent change since I want to track the spend for the diamond MQD waiver. Maybe Am Ex is removing the reward summary from all it's reward cards?

They fed me the same story -- they can see the points as pending and claim the process is that they will post with the next statement. (first she actually said they post 24-48 hrs after the statement closing, then when I pointed out it had been 10 days, it turned into "next statement"). That's news to me and certainly the Nov statement posted the bonus Hilton stay credit as a separate line item, but at the same time as the 3X points.

Put a to-do item in my list to contact them again after the Jan statement closes, assuming those points don't magically appear in the meantime.

They were also not willing or able to post $250 Aspire resort credit after 6 weeks. Wait 8-12 weeks, she said. Another to-do item.
Another month, and other bunch of points posted that don’t seem to reconcile with the charges to my Amex statement.

I have three separate postings:

- Amex Aspire Card Pts on Eligible Spend
- Aspire Card Bonus Pts on Airfare Spend
- Aspire Card Bonus Pts on Hilton Spend

Are the last two bonus categories supposed to be the full 7x and 14x points or just the category bonuses (4x and 11x) on top of the 3x regular spend? I did the math both ways and it doesn’t add up either way, but there is also the complicating/confusing statement from Amex chat that the bonus points post a month later.
