Double HHonors Points from Amazon using Gift Cards purchased at Safeway
I think this must have been posted somewhere, but after 10 minutes of failed searches, I decided to go ahead and post. Moderators please delete or move if duplicated.
We have been looking for a way to increase the point value of our spending at Amazon now that we have Amazon Prime and buy something from them at least once a week. Recently, our local Safeway began carrying Amazon gift cards, and that was our answer. Since we get double HHonors points on our Hilton Amex at grocery stores, we just buy Amazon gift cards at Safeway, get double points for them, and load them into our Amazon Prime account. One additional bonus is that Safeway has a gas award program and gives double (and sometimes 4x) gas credit on gift cards. So our Amazon spending is earning double HHonors points and double gas points by purchasing Amazon gift cards at our local Safeway. |
Unless you're a JetBlue member, with 3x points shopping at Amazon via their website.

Good idea - I think the gas points may almost make up the difference between 2x and 3x.
