Series Group or IT Group rates

What exactly does Series Group or IT Group rates in HH terms & conditions mean?

came here to ask the exact question one year later ! Does this mean, govt rate or does it include special rates given to a wedding or conference ?

A series group is booked through a tour operator. "IT" does NOT mean government or wedding, but sometimes people book "IT" when using a 3rd party for individual reservations.
