How will standard room rewards be affected by the changes?

As we make this transition on Standard Room Rewards, each hotel's maximum Points price is NOT increasing.

For example, today a Standard Room at Category 10 hotels maxes out at 95,000 Points per night. Once the new Points & Money program launches, those hotels will continue to top out at 95,000 Points, and may sometimes be priced lower than the previous category range.
Will I earn bonus points on the cash portion of Points & Money bookings?

Points & Money stays booked under the current system are subject to the current Terms & Conditions of the program - therefore, you would not be eligible to earn Points on the cash portion of the stay.
Although the HonorsRepresentative stated in Feb 2017 that 'you can rest assured about the value of your Points. @HonorsRepresentative, Lauren would you have any feedback?

Thanks

Also, Hampton by Hilton Swinoujscie, Poland has gone from a maximum of 10,000 points per night to 15,000 points. Previously Category 2 was fixed at 10,000 points, while Category 3 was fixed at 20,000 points.

Wow, I thought the devaluations were bad last year when I first noticed hotels doubling. They've really become the Delta of hotel programs.

Except Delta at least still recognizes their elite members. (I assume...) I haven't had a single upgrade at a Hilton property in so long I can't even remember it. At this point, I think I'd be happy with a simple Exec Level upgrade - not like I need the Presidential Suite or anything.
TSparky likes this.

holtju2 has posted on his LoyaltyLobby blog a list of Hilton properties which have seen an increase in the number of points required for a standard room reward since the Hilton Honors changes were announced in 2017 (https://loyaltylobby.com/2018/03/26/...ew-properties/).
