Since the changes to the HHonors Diamond benefits, I was wondering if people already had some luck with getting upgrades to better rooms. (Suites)

I don't see any reason why I should post here my upgrades. What for is this good? Do you think because I will get the Presidential Suite on Saturday it means that everyone will get it?

We might see trends - which hotels are giving upgrades and how frequently.

Indeed, it's just to get a view on the general attitude of the hotels :).

Just did a check, the Conrad Brussels did do an upgrade for tomorrow to an executive suite :)

Hilton GVC - Las Vegas at Flamingo, just booked 1 night in a studio suite. I'm not a owner, just a guest. Upgraded to One Bedroom Suite.

Agreed...this is a pointless exercise.

Same happen to me just last week during a 2night stay at the HGVC Orlando Seaworld. Got a nice 1 bedroom suite. Previous night I had booked the cheapest city view room at the Daytona Hilton. Got upgraded to a rather large suite with balcony and ocean view. Earlier in the week also received an upgrade at the DT in Sterling, VA including lounge. After all not a bad week. Currently I am at the ES Boston airport. Got standard suite and although I have the my way option set to points I received 2 free water, candy bar, popcorn, pretzel and a voucher for a free movie.

I think it's good to see who is doing it and who is not, I know all upgrades will not be equal as room availablity changes, but it's nice to hear the success, and the failures as we all know Hilton employees lurk. All in all it's s step in the right direction as Hilton attempts to regain some lost memebers and retain the rest

Interesting as a couple of years ago, Vacations Club instituted a strict Their Way policy of 1000 points per stay for diamonds, instead of a complimentary upgrade; suites were to go empty if the Diamond did not wish to pay "a few dollars more."

Just completed a stay at the Hilton GVC on the strip next to Circus Circus, got upgraded to a suite.

Nothing so far
