New hotel bonus point opening specials
 

Last weekend I had a two night stay at the newly opened Hilton Garden Inn Brussels Louise. My hhonors account now says under points earned: "HGI Brussels 1000 points offer": 2000 bonus points. I didn't expect them and as far as I could find, there's no mention of it on Hilton's website. Don't know how long this offer will last either, but usually it will be between two and three months. The hotel opened on August 8.

While doing research, I noticed Hilton Edinburgh Carlton has an unpublished 15000 points offer for 3 night minimum stays, plus 5000 for each additional night until October 31, 2016.

Are offers like these common for new hotels?

What do you think, should we post such offers in this thread (doesn't have to be a sticky) or in the sticky Hilton properties joining / leaving the Hilton chain ... thread?

I got 1000 bonus points for a 1 night stay at a relatively new HGI in Peru last month, so it seems to be similar, but as far as I can tell it was unpublished or at the very least not promoted.

This is fairly common, but the bonus is usually 1000 points per night.

Never seen a bonus like 15,000 for a 3 night stay though!

Just had a look as I have stay here soon and it is on the website but only for stays until 31st October. 1000 per night.
