This resort does not allow you to book rooms using points.

Did the property tell you this or did you just not see any when searching for dates?

Find it hard to believe they don't fully participate in Hilton Honors. Chances are, reward nights just haven't been loaded into the reservation/booking system since it is a new property.

That's probably it. When I try to book through the app, it says 80,000 a night on the first page...when I tap the hotel, the points cost disappears.

When I go to honors.com, then plug in a random date, I get this message:

"Hotel does not participate in Hilton Honors Rewards"

That would be unfortunate!

Clarification by Lauren would be appreciated on this one.

It looks like Hilton has now fixed the inventory issue at this new resort.

It is now available for 80K points/night. 5th night free works also.

Yes it is live. I just booked 5 nights (5th night free) + a weekend cert here for my fam next spring.
Appears to be ample std points rooms available for 2 persons. If you book 3 or more persons like I did, the std room availability appears far more limited.

Has anyone stayed here? Any input?

Any updates on this property? Considering it for a stay over Thanksgiving since there are no SPG/Marriott hotels in the area.

Crocodile Petting Zoo?

I doubt this is in the brochure, but they built the resort next to the island poop plant that is infested with crocks. Did not see a single fence separating the crocks from the resort. Visions of a past Disney World event come to mind....

Do a Google Maps search for Hilton Belize. You will see it is right next to the Hilton.

Oh wow, that's interesting. Although I wonder if a) it doesn't affect the resort or b) it's been cleaned up since this article -- I only say those things because I didn't see any mention of sewage smells or crocodiles in any of the recent tripadvisor reviews.

Crock picture above, was taken in one of the ponds right across the road from the Hilton.
