Received the following reply to my email asking which gaming properties in Las Vegas still are in the HHonors group.

Dear Mr. XXXXXX,

Currently all the gaming properties that are currently listed as participating
in Hilton HHonors continue to participate.

Sincerely,

Just came back from Las Vegas. Stayed at Flamingo 1 night a week ago Wednesday for 58.00. Upgraded on my Diamond to Top floor suite. Back at same hotel Sunday through Thursday this past week. 62.00 rate and upgraded to suite.

Just checked account status. I got Double Dip with Delta and also car rental points.

My only complaint was that thed never delivered my newspaper.

Friend of mine, also Diamond, just stayed at Paris for very low rate and was upgraded and received points. Another friend had same activity at LV Bally's and was also upgraded to two floor suite. (That is what I want next trip!)

Ceasers is now printed on note pad in Flamingo rooms. (Flamingo Reno is not)

I spoke to manager at Atlantic City Hilton and was told that they may be leaving Hilton's program, but he had no idea as to when. He said officially that they really are not Hilton and only upgraded me as a courtesy..I did get all points.

I will say that both Embassy Suites on Paradise are pretty good.. Any comments?
TH, I wanted to try Embassy Suite this trip. Rate was well over 150.00 that's why I stayed at Flamingo.

I just returned tonight from 3 nights in Vegas: one night at Bally's and two nights at the Paris. You don't see any references to "Hilton" or "HHonors" anywhere; "Park Place Entertainment" is all you get. I checked in for my Bally's room at the new PPE airport check-in desk (great idea, you get your room key, upgrade, etc., all right there, no line, you go to the hotel and straight up to your room). I got a nice big room on the 18th floor, and a newspaper in the morning. I ordered room-service breakfast and the waiter wheeled it in on a table! (First time I've experienced that...OK, so I'm easily impressed.) They even thought of bringing me a bucket of ice - nice touch, Bally's.

Paris was a less pleasant experience. Long check-in lines, and the desk clerk acted as though she didn't want to know HHonors existed, even while looking at my Gold card. I got no upgrade ("we're very busy this week"), the room (facing the back, not the Strip as I requested) was smaller than at Bally's. The concierge switched me to a Strip-view room after the key wouldn't work for the first room, anyway. No lounge access, no newspapers. All that, plus the very overpriced restaurants made me not want to go back to the Paris. I just don't get it...aren't the same people running these hotels?

I just checked the HHonors website and my Bally's stay has already posted...so now I have my 50,000 points! Yeah!

I was too in Paris Las Vegas last week. There was no Park Place Entertainment check-in at International Arrival at McCarran. The situation is exactly the same with ClassicalGal, no upgrade, no newspapers, nothing. The check-in staff asked 20$ per night for an upgrade to a Strip-view room. I gave him a printout of my reservation confirmation where he had every detail and he still asks for 'smoking or non?'... Furthermore, it's 1.25$ for a local/toll-free/calling-card call for the first 30 min and then each additional min is 10c. And they have a bottle of mineral water in the bathroom which says that it's 3.95$ if the bottle is open. We were careful not touching it. The next day we find another bottle and 1 bottle is charged as room service! It was removed when we protested but boy, we'd better be careful.

I'll probably try the Aladdin (free Internet connection) or Bally's next time.

Another thing: we took a cab from the airport to the hotel. Guess what: he started driving the opposite direction. Even though I was protesting, we went as far as Belz Factory Outlet! No kidding!... Maybe it's not a problem for some of you but I find it very aggravating to deal with this kind of situation. And I was refused check-in at Paris because it was too early... It took me some time to calm down, I tell you! :-(

Just had my 3rd stay in Vegas in a month all at the Flamingo Hilton, I booked it online for $69 per night(each night was booked at $69), arrived and for the 3rd time I was charged $59 per night, I have no idea why. Anyway, I was told this time at check out that even though I gave FF numbers and the guy who checked me in took my number, that I was eligible for FF miles with this rate. I was too tired to argue. The room was on the top floor but not a strip view. No coffee maker (no surprise), no paper again, no anything, I will only stay at the Embassy Suites from now on In LV, the Hilton properties suck in LV other than the Embassy and I've stayed at them all. For those of you going to LV, I suggest Embassy Suites or another chain.

Warning about the Aladdin: one of my cab drivers told me that the Aladdin's management is in trouble and Park Place will be taking over that hotel, too.

I don't know if it's because of my play or just luck, but I've always been treated like royalty at Paris and Bally's. I've already been there 3 times this year, and will be there for a week at a time again in April, May and June.

As a HHonors Diamond I always get Concierge access upgrades at the very least.

I stayed one night at the LV Hilton last week. HHonors points posted quickly.

Waited in line about 10 minutes to check-in. Agent told me "oh, you should have gone to the Hotel VIP line and you wouldn't have had to wait." If it had said HHonors or HHonors VIP I would have, but I figured if I had gone to that line, it would have had nothing to do with HHonors and I would have had some agent yelling at me for being in the wrong line..Since I was Gold HHonors, he said he was upgrading me to an extra large king non-smoking room. Would have been fine (it did seem to be a little larger) but it was next to the glass North tower elevator and you could easily hear the ding when someone stopped at that floor all night..and it was next to the stairwell and you could also hear people running down the stairs all night too..thanks, pal..

Checked out too early to know if they would have provided a paper..

But it was better HHonors Gold treatment than I expected to get, judging from the other comments in this thread. Without the noise with that particular room, it would have been great for the $45 rate (and I thought I needed it for the 50,000 point bonus).

My stay at the Hilton Las Vegas for Superbowl weekend credited me all the points and the UA miles.

And with that stay if my math is right I got the 50K bonus points!

I think what it is is that the hotel and casino divisions of Hilton were split but the casinos still give HHonors points.

Maybe Adam can clarify if this will continue into the future?

Aleph8, if you had gone to the Park Place check-in at the domestic terminal, you'd have had better service. I know you shouldn't have to do anything special, but in Vegas that's just the way it is.

And *everyone* should know to tell the driver to take the "tunnel" if you are going to the strip.

Hello Hilton FTers,

I had an interesting stay at the Flamingo Las Vegas for Super Bowl weekend. I had an online (Flamingo's website) reservation for four nights. When I checked in, they had no record of the online reservation. I had not brought the printout of my online reservation.

They ended up giving me nightly rates $20-$40 better than what I had online. They apologized and said the website had had some problems.

Be Persistent w/ the obtaining Hotel Rewards for Vegas

I tried to book at the Hilton Paris and the customer rep. told me that Vegas hotels don't participate in the Rewards. I was like "what are you talking about." I was thinking not a bait and switch tactic. I told her to look into it and ask a manager. She came back afte 5 minutes to let me know that it's possible and she'll transfer me to a reservation clerk. I don't know what they're smoking but apparently not all is informed. Oh, and don't hold your breath on the paperless reward redemption. That's on hold and they don't know when it'll be effective. In the meantime, I didn't get the date I wanted and had to settle on a date a month later. I believe it is better to use your points quickly now since it seems things can change on the dime. I want to know if anyone has any wise ideas to convert the points into Cash!!!
