Conrad Bangkok Opening

According to the Conrad website, the Conrad Bangkok is supposed to open in "Late 2003".
Do you think I can plan a New Year stay?

There is no guarantee it will open by December 2003. "Late 2003" can easily change to "early 2004".
If I were you I book in another hotel just as a backup!

My father has an apartment in the same complex as the Conrad. The last time I was there (June 2002), the only work apparently being done was to complete what needed to be done to stop the buildign from rotting. Not much action there.

This is inside information.
A human resource manager of Conrad BKK has come from Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit already.
And Some of staff of Conrad BKK will have come from the Oriental Hotel.
Their training will start on October.
Supposed launching on November 2002.
My TH friend will be assigned at executive floor who'll come from SGS.

The Conrad BKK will be on Wireless Road, sort of near the Hilton (but south of Sukhumvit Road). Walking distance to the skytrain but not near the river itself.

It's only an Executive level HH hotel! Can't wait to see the Point Stretcher dates!

Just checked the rates for new years. The lowest rate is USD 112.50 for AAA (!).

BTW, it was June 2001 when I last saw it, not June 2002.
