Arrow DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Madrid-Prado {ESP}

At last:

A new DoubleTree property will be opened in Spain's capital city. According to an agreement announced today with Hoteles Tematicos, which will operate the hotel under a franchise agreement. DoubleTree by Hilton Madrid Prado is set to welcome its first guests in the summer of 2016.

The hotel will be located at Calle San Agustín 3, Madrid.

Excellent news and a great location-- about one block from the Westin.

Based on the renderings in the press release:
http://news.doubletree.com/index.cfm...id-city-centre

I'm actually surprised this is going to be flagged as a Doubletree-- it looks fairly boutique (and has only 61 rooms), and a property I'd think would be perfect for Curio Collection.

If you owned a new hotel would you want it to be called Curio??

It no longer shows up when you do a search for hotels in Madrid.

It still shows up for me (I have just searched for a random day in August). It just says Coming Soon, though.

I notice that the Doubletree site now says that the hotel will open in September 2016.

I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere, I'm new to this forum and there is a lot of info to sort through!

Does anyone know how long before a hotel opening does Hilton typically allow reservations? I am visiting Spain for my honeymoon in November and I was hoping to use rewards points to book a stay in this hotel for a couple days in Madrid. I was hoping not to have to wait until September to book the hotel since this property only has a limited number of rooms. Thanks!

From the hotel's website:

DoubleTree by Hilton Madrid-Prado

Calle San Agustín, 3, Madrid, 28014, Spain
TEL: +34-91-3600820
FAX: +34-91-3600817
This hotel will soon be joining the Hilton Worldwide Portfolio of Brands and is presently accepting reservations for arrival December 1, 2016 and beyond.
You can book online already, but only from December 1.

50000 points or 20000 + 76€.
