Is there a pillow menu problem?
Hi all,
At risk of being flamed, as forgive me I don't post as often here as I should... A simple question, why do some hilton brands have a pillow menu / straightforward pillow selection, and others nothing? I'm in the doubletree jumeirah beach at the moment, and I'm told they have two types of pillow available, foam or feather. Unfortunately, neither are anywhere near as firm as I would like. Is it so hard to supply pillows that suit the customer? After all, it's supposed to be all about the sleep, right? I'll reference the relatively low budget holiday inn express, they have one firm pillow, one soft, nice label on each, or at least they do in the UK. Am I the only person who likes a firm pillow? Indeed, am I the only person who struggles to get one? It's not exclusively hilton btw, I've struggled in hyatts too. Maybe it's a Middle East thing?? |
On that note, although an extensive pillow menu would be nice, I would be willing to settle for a simple "feather-free" option a-la Marriott and SPG.
I add in comments that I want feather free every time I book through HHonors, and I've never gotten it. I always have to call housekeeping after arrival to change out the pillows. Whereas with SPG and Marriott there is the feather-free option which has yet to fail me. |
