Same name, multiple accounts

1. Does Hilton have any issues if the same person has 2-3 accounts and then wants to merge them into one?

2. Presumably the points and elite status get consolidated into the merged account, but what about the number of qualifying stays? Do the total number of nights across all accounts get consolidated into the merged account, for status determination purposes?

Login, go to HHonors and look for the "My Profile" tab on the left-hand side of the screen; click on the "Combine Accounts" link. You can combine/consolidate multiple accounts there.

Don't know the answer to question #2, but would guess it would all count under the same rules for a sole account.

This is absolutely wrong. Unless you're confident that you're providing correct information, you may want to refrain from posting.

Requested merge on the 22/Oct, got confirmation that it will be done in "10 business days" still not done. Business days must be quite a rare phenomenon at HHonours....

Are you guys sure this is allowed by Hilton? Many hotel programs specifically disallows this for a good reason, to ensure people do not create multiple accounts to do things like status match to another hotel program

Hilton does not allow multiple accounts. But it also recognizes that things happen.

Often a person will open a Hilton credit card the a new account will be automatically opened. But....if you have multiple accounts that were opened for the sole purpose of gaining extra points during promos and such, I can see Hilton not merging those accounts at face value.

In the end in might be a bit of wait and see what Hilton actually does with a person who knowing and purposely has multiple accounts and now wants to merge them.

If you apply for a HH credit card and didn't fill in the HH# part, the credit card company will create a new HH account for you. Then you will have to merge the accounts. I did it on both HH and SPG.

NM, I just saw that the post above mine posted the same thing.
