Years ago there used to be a much broader sale but I'm pretty sure that went away. I don't know what other sale you might be talking about.

There may very not be a broad based sale/promotion this year and only the targeted ones announced for overseas since the US hotel market has strengthened considerably over the past year compared to where it has basically languished for the past several years.

Yeah, I meant those "Official January Sale" you linked above but I remembered they were for any days, not only for the weekends. It seems the US market is picking up then and they no longer need such a generous promo anymore.

THE January sale became the any weekend anywhere sale in 2011. The way Hilton has been cutting back I just don't see them going back to the old sale.
