someone less math challenged help me with Q4 calculation?

Hello,
I stayed at a Doubletree. My reservation was for one night. However, because of the weather, I added an additional night. Room rate was $94.95 (excluding tax), and I ordered about $40 in room service. These are the points that have posted

Base points 2422
2013/14 MORE NIGHTS MORE POINTS OFFER 2422
50% BONUS ON BASE POINTS 1211
DIAMOND VIP BONUS - 50% 2014 1211

Because this doesn't seem at all consistent with the way other points have posted to my account during the promotion period, I appeal for help. I have tried to use the Hilton calculator . . .

Thanks for any help you can provide!

calculator not req'd......simple math says 2Xs $95 = $190+$40=$230 X10/$1 is 2330 so if they credited you 2422, you're ahead of the game....

why, did you expect points on taxes???? if so, no points on taxes....

Looks all right to me.
10 base points per dollar.
Double points as you stayed 2 nights
( double points = the base points + 1 time base points as extra points ).

Welcome back BKKLee

As stated, this looks correct and in your favour. You received your base points, the "double" bonus (meaning an additional base points), and the double dip and Diamond bonus for an additional 10 points per dollar.

Given everything, you should have earned 30 points per dollar spent, and it seems like you did so.

Thank you all for the help. I wasn't "expecting" anything or necessarily claiming that I was short changed. Your various explanations will help me do the calculations going forward. To my mind:

2Xs $95 = $190+$40=$230 X10/$1 is 2330

is not simple math. 2+2 is!

not so simple apparently - 230 x 10 = 2300 in most places.
