Embassy Suites Sofa Bed-Big enough to fit a matress from a double bed?
Odd question I admit.
We're staying at an Embassy Suites and my experience with sofa beds is the mattress is frequently not much thicker than a comforter. The room will have two doubles, which are typically 53"-54" wide. I'm wondering if it would be possible to drag one of the mattresses off the bed and put it on the sofa bed for a more comfortable sleep. Anyone tried this? TIA. |
I don't have an answer, but I do have a question: Why not just sleep in the second double bed?

From the thread title, I had thought you were going to bring your own mattress from home ... which would certainly one-up all those kiddies I see hauling a huge pillow each through the concourse!

All of the ES pull-out sofa beds I've encountered have either been full size (~54") or queen size (rarely). So it should be big enough for the mattress. However, it might not be strong enough or provide enough support for a regular mattress.
Have you considered bringing an air mattress and pump? I've done this when traveling with younger children and it works very well. |
I have taken the mattress and just put it on the floor of the living room area, worked fine.

Update for those interested:
The mattress does indeed fit quite nicely on the sofa bed and makes a very comfortable bed. ^ |
