I don't think this rate requires you to be connected to Hilton at all. Afterall, they're offering full points, etc. for any stay; this offer is found on the HHonors web site. What makes you think this offer is restricted? Am I missing something?

You can try to contact the property and see if they can work something out with you in terms of applying all/some of the difference towards on property spending. Worst they can say is no.

I just rebooked a reservation I have coming up on the 14th at a full service Hilton. No mention was made of any friends, family or whatever else requirement in the rate rules (I just went back and double checked). Is this a property dependent rule?
