I have and currently still holding it. Since my base in Malaysia, I am using it solely for dining.
|
I purchased it a few months back, just used it on my last 3 weeks in Malaysia and Thailand. (Im a Diamond as well)
Ok, remarks on the Premium Club. Worked well when I used it: If you can use the free night and the buffet coupon, then all other items are just a bonus for the rest of the year. Instant Value for Me: (Cost about $200 USD) Free room was booked immediately. 125 dollar value, compared to what i would pay on advance rate Free Buffet for 2, used this trip. 100 So the Card is paid for immediatley if used correctly. Used it in KL, 50% discount at most restaraunts, the noodle one is only 25%(It is reasonably priced already, Main Buffet honors it, including brunch. They do at times vary this to 25%, but that appears rare. Hilton Sentral pooside restaurant (Boardwalk) offers you 50% dining discount(food only). All restaurants at Hilton Malaysia and Thailand is offering 50% off for 2 person dining (food portion only, drink no discount) except for Prime( steakhouse at Bangkok Millenium Hilton) offering flat 30% discount. Applicable to all days except for special promotion or festival season. Premium club is not tied with Hilton Diamond. Which means whenever you use the Premium Club room voucher, it does not count as a stay for Hilton Honors. But, you can still use your Hilton Diamond status to enjoy the room upgrade whenever you use club room voucher. NOTE: HILTON PHUKET, No discount at poolside service at Arcadia though....... Nice to have the card, although I still prefer to eat on the street.....but for those who indulge at the hotels this is a good program, covering Malaysia and Thailand. |
One additional note, it does vary slightly where you buy it from. IE where the hotel vouchers are valid and even the free buffet coupon may vary. I also bought mine through Malaysia as the hotel voucher was good at the Malaysia hiltons and Phuket.
THe Restaurant benifits are the same regardless of which hotel you go through.... But there are some COUPONS that are tied to "Country" that you bought it from. IE mine has many for KL Sentral, doubletree ect. The free night and free buffet made it a no brainer for me. If you need the contact for Malaysia, i can send you the person who did mine, as they did a nice job with the comminication. as i wanted the package sent to my office ect.... |

Poolside is Not at 50%, asked the Premium club and also when at the hotel. Although they do run happy hour for 1 or 2 hours in the early afternoon.... Im sure its not at 50% anymore!
Seperately, The lounge by the front desk does give a 10% discount on drinks as well. the guest relations manager at the Hilton Phuket is [email protected]. If anyone want to clarify further. The nicer restaraunts and buffets, do discount at 50% for 2. |
Interesting, haven't seen this. Would be more useful if there were more Hilton properties in Asia though.

I think the Upgrade to the executive level ect would be helpful to most travelers..... doing exactly what you said, as i think 2 or 4 executive lounge upgrade certs come with the package..... IE garanteed...
I was lucky as they put me in a nice suite as I was traveling with a friend. GM and GR manager are very good, i still need to review the property as well. Anyway, I just tried to outline what the major benifits are.... I think its well priced just considering the free room night and free buffet certificate. 50% at Phuket would add a huge value for me, wish they would bring it back. Many other smaller benifits are also included, but I will never use, as my corp rates and status get most already for me. I do think its a good program even if you only go to the region twice a year and stay at Hiltons. |

Did you see it only include 3 countries in Asia ? It had totally missed out the rest of Asia ! Not sure if you know Japan actually have tons of Hilton properties ! |

It is similar to what Holiday Inn does, with limited countries participating..... aka seperate cards.
Japan has one from what I understand...... Holiday Inn's Priority Club has a card for just Thailand, othersr for several other regions in Asia It would be great if more countries were covered, but it appears they want to limit the benifit, similar to other programs on the market. |
This card used to have a very extensive coverage, if I am not mistaken even the Hilton ( now Conrad ) Maldives used to participate. And the 10% (or was it 20%) off room rates was very useful in Australia. Long given up on the Premium Club ...
