Had just checked out of the hotel today. It was a one night reward stay. It was 20k points per night for a standard room. Was upgraded upon arrival as I'm Gold to the Superior room. The check in lady personally escorted me to the room which was nice. The Superior room was no more than 30 sq. metres. A plate of sweets was later sent.

Everything was expectedly spanking new as it's just open for a month. Service was good throughout. 4pm check out was granted. Location wise , 10 minutes walk to Phrom Phong BTS. There're a handful of eateries arounnd and plenty of massage places.

There's no club lounge is this hotel. Would have been to have a few drinks as a Gold. The new Hilton is just next to this building. Was told they'll be linked.

All in all a pleasant stay.

Not liking that there is no club lounge. Did you get a comp breakfast as a Gold? How was it if you got one?

I did get comp. breakfast but I'm not sure if its due to the fact that I've chosen the option of BF at DT knowing it doesn't have a lounge, or it's a compensation for lack of lounge. But I slept through it, wish I could tell how good the BF was. I expect it to be on par to a nice 4-star Asian hotrl buffet style BF.

I stayed here last week.

Bullet points:

- Front Desk Service is horrible, they need a lot of improvement and should have a trained supervisor on Duty (and actually at the desk) at all times.

- Did not receive any upgrade despite being promised one 3h earlier when I left the hotel after attempted check-in for my appointment. If the Manager would not have recovered this snafu I'd have checked out and went to the Sheraton.

- I was not given any information letter of what Diamonds are entitled to at this property. I ended up having breakfast both days and it was not charged so I'd assume Diamonds have it free.

- Rooms are ok, new of course but generally comfortable.

- I found the room service to be very good and reasonably priced. Had dinner both days.

Overall a nice property with a great location. The rates are quiet high, not sure how they come up with that. I used a C&P award.

We checked in at 2pm for a C&P stay. In lieu of an upgrade, for which they had 'no rooms available', we were offered dinner at the resto. The room was new, not fancy but decently put together, and our view was out toward the Hilton on Soi 24 (no windows faceing DT) on a high floor. Staff walked us up to the room and when we came down for dinner the male staff came over and referred to us by name.

Elevators are rather small and of the 3 only 1 appeared to be finished with any semblance of good craftsmanship. Petty but noticeable.

The room was not big but decent enough size with a big window. Bathroom was comfortable with rain shower; good pressure and consistent water temp. Two 500ml water bottles which were replaced by turn down service.

For dinner there was a buffet with 4 dishes for Asian and 4 for western. Also soup and other stations. Food was decent. Staff was nice. It was not crowded but there were large tables in the back with 'reserved' signs on them.

For breakfast the place was packed at 8:30AM. While we had a cup of coffee waiting for a table one opened up and was immediately taken by some Asian women who didn't care that there was a host for seating... staff cleared the table and accepted it. Saying the breakfast staff was disorganized would be putting it lightly. Getting coffee or juice was not easy. Food, again, was decent.

The hotel itself is about 100m down Soi 26 and another 40m to the BTS station. Just to the north of the hotel is a guaytiao (soup) place which is divided into a smaller and larger room. The south (smaller) side is considered better though they are run by the same family.

South down Soi 26 is Bo'lan; expensive but very good Thai food.

If you were to head out back from the resto you'll see a deck with a walkway that leads to the Hilton grounds. Currently this is blocked by large potted plants.
