The website is now online: Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok.

Even there are not too many informations around, the pics already look nice.

It is set to open in may 2013 (or later )

Thank you, olisch, for this link. I will certainly want to give this hotel a try. I note the following information: it is 500 m from Phrom Phong BTS station, and it has an executive lounge.

The Conrad has one and virtually every 3* in BKK has one. For a Hilton it's a lock. Personally, hiking 500m is no imposition and if I have a lot of luggage - I'm in a cab.

Yep, you're right on any of your points. Still right now there's no information about a shuttle to either Emporium Mall or Phrom Phong. It doesn't mean that they won't offer it, but right now it isn't mentioned anywhere. Anything else is just speculation.

Any more word on when they are opening? Seems a little odd to me that they aren't taking reservations yet.

The Hilton Sukhumvit website now says that it is opening in June.

Just talked with hilton's customer service, was told the hotel will be opening in july and they'll be taking reservations starting june.

Got to be worth a try, although I'll miss the Conlad, however it's proximity to Soi 33 will probably sway me to try it, at least once !
