Those free Doubletree cookies - and people with nut allergies!

First, the nuts. Then the gluten. Then the carbs. Bye bye cookies - hello celery!

I totally agree with removing nuts from airplanes as someone wish a severe allergy could find themselves in a horrible situation 30,000 feet in the air.

Then there would be few people flying. And who gets to decide who the nuts are? What if I am just a little batty? I can understand keeping the insane off of flights, but a lot of us are just nuts. That should be fine. I like to fly.

BTW, I am allergic to nothing but Cinnabon. It makes me break out in ugly fat.

Not allergic but I just hate walnuts and also wish there were a nut free version. Have mentioned that upon checkin a few times, one can hope.

Well sais Subby. As I said before I don't hate walnuts - it's just I dont like them enough to ever want to eat them with anything else, and would really rather DT took them out and gave us a nice nut-free one. I then also wouldnt feel so bad munching on one when my wife can't!

Food and feather allergy here , last month was offered a salty snack and water or soda as an alternative , nice touch

I'm vegetarian so I've never sampled one of these popular treats. But I'd never suggest they convert to a vegetarian version.

I still wish they had a plain chocolate chip version of their warm cookie, but definitely a step in the right direction ^

(For the record, I like the white chocolate, cranberry & oat cookies that most HGI's have best)

Stay at the Doubletree in Southampton, UK. Every type of allergy or food preference is covered because you won't be offered a cookie.

Imagine if they had to make different cookies for people with different allergies, they would have to make thousands of different cookies. There are people who are lactose intolerant, some who are gluten intolerant, just to name a few. It sucks that you are allergic to nuts but why are you so special that they have to make a special cookie for you?
Bottom line: if you have a nut allergy, just don't eat it!
