Had a recent 1 night stay - this is a new build 6 floor property that opened in December 2011

The hotel is located at the far end of the hotel strip on Airport Road east of Highway 2 - there appeared to very few other amenities / restaurants within walking distance.

Arrived early to check in (12pm) and the assigned room wasn't ready - requested another room that was ready and assigned a suite on the 6th floor. Didn't receive any other DIA recognition of waters, etc.

The room itself was very large - it was in effect 2 large HGI rooms made into one - the living room had it's on toilet / sink as well as fridge /microwave, etc, while the bedroom section was as spacious - definitely one of the biggest HGI rooms I have stayed in.

The hotel has the standard HGI features, but looks a little more spacious on the ground floor than usual. There's a indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi (closed for maintenance) and a roomy gym with 5 cardios and free weights.

The hotel staff were friendly, but the hotel still appeared to be having some opeing challenges with the swimming pool, one lift occasionally working, a fire alarm just going off without any explanations, lack of Diamond recognition.

I left too early to have the breakfast, and didn't have a need for the shuttle service - it would take 5-10 minutes to get from the hotel to the airport.

Overall, the size of the rooms was a definite plus - hopefully the teething problems with the new hotel will soon be worked through.
