Still no Hhonors reservations?
Still no luck booking a reward reservation, regardless of date.
Less interesting without standard Diamond benefits (free breakfast, internet, etc).

Never stayed at the Flamingo location but like the location. I think both are in good location and back when I was SPG Plat we stayed at the PH a lot and really liked the Miracle Mile Shops and dinging options. I will be in Vegas on April 1st and will most likely book this location. I was about to book it as the PH Westgate until I saw it pop up on the Hilton site. My only issue is...I was going to use a Costco vegas.com gift card to make the booking as a flight+hotel packsage so I probably will not get points or benefits but there really doesnt seem to be much for a Diamond there anyways but we do like the location etc.

STILL no reward dates available
We are going to Vegas for a long weekend in early May, becoming a bit concerned / impatient with the lack of rewards for this property, considering other options. Not willing to spend 35k points/night for the other HGV properties, decided to book a room at the Embassy - MVP rate of $103.20/night, free shuttle to the airport, strip (Miracle Mile), all of the normal Embassy, Hhonors Diamond bennies.

Haven't seen reward stays yet either, but it sounds like you found a pretty good deal otherwise.

Thanks to the OP for the heads up. I go to Vegas at least four times a year and always stay at the LVH. If they do stop honoring HH benefits after April at the LVH, I was planning on moving my stays to the HGVC at the Flamingo. This looks like a great alternative (on the strip, close to the airport and the suites look nicer).
If Hilton would only open up a hotel or partner with someone on the strip again.

I am all for collecting points etc but in LAS this is absolutely positively 100% not worth it. The only reason to go to ES would be a convention IMHO.

Has anyone stayed at this property before? (In its pre-HGVC state, of course.)
Wondering how it compares to MGM Signature. For the weekend of April 20th, I see this HGVC at $161/nt. for a 1-bedroom suite., $134/nt. for a studio.
MGM Signature is the identical $161 for a 1-bedroom, $109 for a jr. suite, but those rates are prepaid and it's unclear whether I'd have to pay extra bogus fees to the hotel upon arrival.
My past HGVC experiences have not had junk fees...no idea whether this one does or not.
Specific location on the Strip isn't a huge issue...we just want to be in that general area.

Speaking of "junk" at HGVC, if you've got upcoming stays at LV properties, might want to take your phone off your profile/not leave cell/etc. I had a GREAT stay at the Flamingo LV property - Peter Lin did a great job taking care of my group, super facility, valets and desk helpful. But when I came home, about two weeks later, I started getting the most aggressive telemarketers on my cell offering Vegas vacation packages, claiming they got my number due to completed stays at Hilton properties in Vegas.
I rectified my account by updating my info with a dummy 555-1212 number (wouldn't let me leave it blank). I realize I never should have given it in the first place... Anyway, a tip.
Can't wait to check this new property out though!

The rooms are very nice at Signature (haven't stayed at any HVGC location to compare). The downside to the Signature is that you are not on the strip, and you have a 5-10 minute walk (indoors) to get to the MGM Grand.

MGM Signature charges a daily resort fee (at last check was $22.40/night), which includes Internet and fitness center access. That fee is not included in the prepaid rate.

For $100-150 you can get a decent 5* property on the strip on PL/HW (venetian, aria etc for gambling, trump non-gambling); why on earth would anyone stay at ES for nearly the same or spend points on mediocre properties???

Yes, you,may get a better hotel for that money, but with no benefits, and a pretty good chance at a less desirable room....
