Doubletree Shanghai

upgraded a few days out from a base room to a deluxe suite. I was there for 3 nights and seemed pretty empty for most of it. Very nice for $60 per night

Doubletree SFO Airport North. Two night stay.

Booked king room, upgraded to king suite about six hours before check in after messaging property in-app. Nice and spacious! Great first upgrade as a Diamond.

Wow, just wow.

Conrad Hong Kong, booked deluxe harbor view room (price matched via brg!) for six nights. Sent a note to concierge a few days before check in asking they might have any suites as we were celebrating. Was told they’d do what they could but wasn’t guaranteed until check in.

Went to check in on the app and saw we had been upgraded to a king harbor view suite, and was able to select one on the 53rd floor. Checked in at the executive lounge and upon arriving in the room found a bottle of Perrier-Joilet Champgne waiting for us with a personalized card.

Excellent service all around, and a great first experience at the Conrad Hong Kong! Especially considering we are lying something like $300/night after price match!

First upgrade in months/years...I can’t even remember how long it has been. Booked a king room at Hilton FRA airport. Was upgrade to one bedroom/two bath suite. Just for one night, but it was a nice surprise.

Also got an “upgrade” at Hilton Toronto a few weeks ago. Booked a junior suite and upon check-in the front desk said “can we “upgrade” you to the executive floor?” I said yes... assuming the “upgrade” was for the junior suite. Nope! The “upgrade” was for a
regular room on the executive floor. I feel it was more of a downgrade. Won’t stay here again.
